Finally it's done!

It has been quite quiet regarding this blog. There really hasn't been that much to write about...

The recordings all went smoothly but all things aren't in the hands of the musicians and the almost doomed Hellfire Blues delayed... and delayed.

It seemed that the name of the EP was somekind of a bad omen! But all in all the result speaks for itself... Now it's mixed and mastered. The Mastering skills of Matias Kupiainen raised the release to the level that it deserves. Another ass kicking / death fuckin' roll EP from the berzerk circus group Ghoul Patrol!

Ladies and fellow headbangers, we give you: HELLFIRE BLUES

Guitars, vocals and bass recorded

Guitars were recorded at Panu Posti's homestudio on 3.-4. of this month. Jani played all his parts on monday day. In the evening Albert started by testing few different guitars to find a suitable sound for the purpose. Guys did again a killer job! On tuesday evening all the guitar tracks were recorded and re-amped.

On wednesday we started with Jukka's vocals. Vocals came out again in the brutal fashion of Ghoul Patrol. Few beers and hell of a boogie. After 5 hours it was Dave's time to play the bass tracks for the EP. Like a true professional he played all his parts in a matter of only few retakes.

Again the studio sessions were painless as everything went as smoothly as it can. Now it's just mixing and mastering before 'Hellfire Blues' will see daylight!

Hellfire Blues

Ghoul Patrol started yesterday to record a new 4 song EP. The EP has a working title 'Hellfire Blues' which will probably end up as the official title. We'll see...

Yesterday Pete record the drum tracks for all 4 songs. As with 'Death Fuckin' Roll!' drum tracks were recorded at legendary Finnvox studios and the man behind the buttons/switches was Panu Posti. We'll add some photos and video footage soon to the blog. Also Pete might write here some of his experiences from the drum sessions.

Tracklisting for 'Hellfire Blues' will be: Nameless Grave, Harvest, Birthright To Be Murderous, Zombies Ate My Neighbors. Not necessarily in that order though...

Stay tuned! This one will be a killer!
